Cindy Becker of the Goodhue County Chapter of the Red Cross proposed using the Town Hall, incidentally, as an emergency shelter for 100 people or less. The town board wished to review the Red Cross’s Survey and Shelter Agreement documents.

Cheryle Peters reported that she and Treasurer Jennifer Ritzman were registered to attend the CTAS training on Thursday, May 12- sponsored by the Office of the State Auditor. Upon request, Chairman John Miller approved whole day pay for the training with a report.
Road Report:
Tom Kurtz reported:
1. Some grading has been done. More grading needed and keep it up for the season. Truck is at John’s and is cleaned out and washed.
2. Zeigler was consulted re: tire. Remedy will be tried. Air brake was discussed. Stanton Trail was slated for more rock.
3. Quotes for rock were opened. Anderson Rock and Lime, Inc., $8.45/ton; Castle Rock Materials, $9.60/ton; Bruening Rock Products, Inc., $7.76/ton; Bob Benson made a motion to accept the quote from Anderson Rock and Lime, Inc. Vince Cockriel seconded the motion. The motion passed 3/0. Bruening Rock Products, Inc. was declined, partially, due to a lack of information provided in the quote. The township would like to have more information on the size and sources of the rock for future quotes from Bruening Rock Products, Inc. Trucks Hauling signage was discussed.
4. Quotes for Chloride were opened. Luhman’s Construction Co., $0.74 per gallon; Quality Dust Control Services, $.675 per gallon .3 application rate; Dustcoating Inc., $0.675 per gallon. Vince Cockriel made a motion to accept the Chloride quote from Dustcoating, Inc. Bob Benson seconded the motion. The more recent of two quotes from Quality Dust Control Services was competitive with Dustcoating Inc., however, Dustcoating Inc. had received the contract in 2010. The motion passed 3/0.
5. Seal-coating
for Pennfield Addition- Vince suggested one more quote on 6800 sq. yards. He will contact
6. 330th Street Bridge- John Miller made a request for information on bridge engineering. John Miller will contact Erickson Engineering.
7. Per request, Chloride application will be 15ft. wide for high volume roads.

New Business:
1. CUP clarification for Planning Commission/Ordinance- The town board would like to agree with legal opinion given by the Minnesota Association of Townships stating that a CUP would stay with the land and not the applicant. CUP’s would, subsequently, need to be filed with the county by the township.
2. Gibson Sanitation- Due to the minimal amount of trash generated by the town hall, it was suggested to terminate service. Vince Cockriel made a motion to terminate service and Bob Benson seconded the motion. The motion passed 3/0.
