Jennifer reported that some privacy issues had been reviewed
as a result of the MAT Summer Short Course.
Cheryle will no longer use detailed personal data for payroll. Account # totals will now be used to create
claims that pertain to payroll, PERA and the IRS. PERA requires a formal
employee termination to close out any employee account. It was agreed to remove Laura and Ken from
appropriated bank account signature cards. (Safety Deposit
Box, Certificates of Deposit, Savings Accounts, etc.) Check signing for
the purpose of paying claims is a separate understanding. In the event of an
emergency, the banks have stated that they would be able to work with us
regardless.
The IRS now allows $ .555 per mile as the reimbursement rate.

Clerk’s Report:
Goodhue Cooperative Billing- Cheryle reported that the Township is consistently late with our payments because of the way that the billing cycles fall with board meetings. After speaking with customer service, she was correctly informed that only one billing had incurred a late fee. Increasing the Budget Helper amount average to $180.00 and one double payment as deposit should protect the township from any future late fees of 5%.
Planning Commission’s Zoning Map- Vince Cockriel requested a
cross- hatch marking to indicate
Red Cross paperwork will be pursued and formalized with Cindy Becker and Cheryle Peters. Discussion ensued regarding the availability of employees in the event of a local emergency. Emergency contact information for the entire Stanton Township Board will be released to the Red Cross. Bob Benson made a motion to prepare the contracts with the Red Cross. Vince Cockriel seconded the motion. The motion passed 3/0.
Road Report:
Cheryle will try to help road crew keep records of rock dumps and chloride applications?
Grader needs repair work. Bob Benson made a motion to approve the purchase of two arms at the cost of $600.00 each from Groth in Wannamingo. Vince Cockriel seconded the motion. The motion passed 3/0.
