Monthly Meeting

Date: April 12, 2011

Location: Stanton Town Hall, 31186 - 40^th Ave Way, Cannon Falls, MN 55009

Attending: Mark Dubbels, Paul Schluter, Neal Sjoquist, Cheryle Peters,(Secretary), John Krantz.

Mark Dubbels called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM

Pledge of Allegiance was recited

Approval of Agenda

Mark Dubbels made motion to approve agenda. John Krantz seconded the motion. Motion passed 5/0.

Approval of Minutes from 3-7-11

Mark Dubbels made motion to approve minutes with spelling corrections.

Neal Sjoquist seconded the motion. Motion passed 5/0.

Zoning Certificates

Old Business

1. CUP clarification-Eric Hedtke, attorney, of Minnesota Association of Townships weighs in on Kent Solum’s article posted on the MAT website. The article states that a CUP stays with the land, not the applicant and should be filed with the county. Discussions ensued. It was suggested to advise the town board and request a directive.

2. Vince’s request re: Lake Byllesby County Park land acquisition- Paul spoke of the proposed bike trail, bridges, land acquisition, funding and informed the PC that Commissioner Samuelson and Mr. Isakson plan to attend the town board meeting on April 19^th. Discussion ensued. Park and Trail has a pending meeting in April; Paul plans to attend.

New Business

1. Paul noted a CapX2020 meeting to be held at the CFHS on Thursday, April 14, 2011@1:30 and 6:30. He plans to attend.

2. Action Alert from League of Women Voters Minnesota-Minnesota Association of Townships? Bill #s HF389, SF270. PC advised. Cheryle will track bills on Legislature’s website.

3. Wind Power-State Legislation-Bills-HF811, HF812, SF1069, SF1070-Hard copies entered into record; duly noted.
